Keep your head up and nose
down. Good advice for all of us walking the
tight-rope between pride and imperfection.
On the one side we wear our faults for the
world to see like advertisements on a
T-shirt. At times our heads are bowed under
the weight of criticism, discouragement and
rejection. During these times we have a need
to be reminded of God's unfailing love and
kindness. On the other side, with our nose
held high, our pride leads us to believe we
are better than others. We think God loves
us more than our neighbor, or worse yet,
that we are not responsible to a higher
authority. On those occasions we need to be
reminded that God will hold all of us
accountable for our actions and that justice
is in His hands. So be careful as you walk
the tight-rope and keep your head up and
nose down.
