Adam and Eve Made for Each Other

Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and brought her to the man. The man said,"This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Genesis 2:22-24

For a period of time, Adam and Eve had no one else but each other. Of course, in a special way, God was with them in the garden. But even God recognized Adam's need for a companion. Like a difficult puzzle, there is a certain incomparable satisfaction that comes from finding two pieces that fit together. That same satisfaction can result when two people come together to make each other complete.
